- What model of HP3000? Look for a 3000/9xx or 3000/xx number. Unlike
- the 9000/700 series, the 3000's usually have a model number somewhere.
-
- If it is a 2 digit (3000/70, 3000/37) ... no luck on UNIX.
- If it is a 3 digit (3000/9xx), yes and no to running UNIX. The hardware
- can do it, but the software licensing is difficult.
-
- If it is a 3000/9xx, then it runs MPE/iX. NFS is available, and you can
- put it on an 802.3, but running mail is harder ... the HP3000 mailing
- list can help there.
