  12.     I am trying to send and receive data through a RS232 on a
  13. HP 750 series machine. I was able to do it only after turning getty
  14. on ttyp00 . But I would like to do it without turning the getty on.
  15. On Suns I can do it without any problem. I would appreciate if
  16. someone could share some ideas as to how I can use the RS232 ports
  17. on a HP to do something simple as 'cat' a file without turning
  18. getty on.
