- Hi - out there,
-
- We have a HP9000/827 running HP-UX 8.02. We want to use it as a
- frontend to external connections. We are now trying to connect
- modems to the machine but have had a number of troubles with that
- and I do not know if we should change our concept. We do not want
- to waste all this time every time we have to connect a new modem.
-
- HP has advised us to use the Bell Standard instead of CCITT and it
- seems to help. But we have a HP9000/857 where we have problems with
- a modem set up as a Bell modem.
-
- Does anyone have experience with
-
- 1. HP9000 and modem problems in
- in general.
-
- 2. Difficulties with HP9000 and
- the CCITT standard.
-
- I need an advise because it has impact on how we build out our
- frontend concept. So please E-mail me if you have experience or
- opinions about either 1) or 2).
