- I have several audio-related questions about the HP 705/710 system:
-
- 1) Is it possible to change the volume of the audio output without
- having to run (graphical) programs like "acontrol"? For example,
- is there a simple program in the form of:
-
- changevol /dev/audio vol-level
-
- that wouldn't necessarily have to be run under X-windows?
-
- 2) Is there a file-format converter (sox, perhaps?) available to
- convert from .snd to .au files. (.au files seem to be easier
- to play with "player", than .snd files...)
-
- 3) Has anyone added any audio capabilities to any HP software, such
- as xclock, etc.?
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated!
