  12. I have gotten lots of advice WRT this post.  I suspect now is a good time
  13. to follow-up with what I do know.

  15. The directory has both "." and ".." in it.
  16.  
  17. If you run strings on "." (the undeletable directory) it shows files that
  18. were in it at one point in time.

  20. The link count on "." is correct.

  22. If you run fsck on the filesystem, it corrects 3 problems and after fsck
  23. finishes you can delete it.

  25. Ive also gotten advice about using unlink, which I also think will work, but
  26. Im much more cautious now that I know the filesystem is corrupting.
