  15. I just got a new Seagate ST11200N hard disk for our HP720.
  16. The manual indicates:
  17.     Capacity:        1248 MB (unformatted)
  18.                 1054 MB (formatted)
  19.     Cylinders:        1872
  20.     Heads:        15
  21.     Sectors/track    74 (avg.)
  22.  
  23. I have used the following settings in /etc/disktab:
  24. SEAGATE_11200N:\
  25.         :54 MB reserved for swap:ns#37:nt#15:nc#1772:\
  26.         :s0#983460:b0#8192:f0#1024:\
  27.         :se#512:rm#5411:
  28.  
  29. and I managed to format the disk.  Then SAM tells me:

  37. This is the first time I do that on a unix workstation and I am just
  38. wondering if different settings would give me slightly more capacity .
  39. I don't want to just blindly try changing the parameters.
