- On the 1084 monitor there was a bulletin on the flyback, they
- fail also a rather large resistor gets smoking hot and melts
- a capacitor near it. Commodore has a kit to repair this
- request the 1084 monitor repair kit. Give them the +EXACT+
- model number and have the date of manufacture handy. This
- kit contains the fly cap and resistor. Should cost less
- than 40.00. I have a kit if interested
