  16. Yeah.. but dont forget that the System 6.0 finder has lots of support code
  17. in order facilitate using the Extra's Menu. I'm not saying it couldn't be
  18. done.. But it would take lots of patches to the Menu Manager so that 
  19. Applications didn't get Menu Events from Menu items that it doesn't know
  20. about. I know that I dont do much range checking on desktop applications
  21. that I write. I assume that Im not going to get a menu Item Selection
  22. outside of the range that _I_ defined for my application. Plus It is reasonable
  23. to assume that nobody should stick extra items (Save NDA's which dont count)
  24. in behind my back.
