- The System 6.0 I installed from is the final release version. I
- "followed all the rules", using the Installer, etc. And why, I even
- did a low-level format, repartition and high-level format on my hard
- disk before trying to install it again. Everything single thing works
- fine except for HFS. It works with floppies but not hard disks
- partition. I've tried copying System 6.0 from friends but the HFS part
- still wouldn't work perfectly.

-
- The problem with installing AppleWorks GS seems more serious
- than that. I tried using the Finder 6.0 to copy AWGS to the HFS
- partition and it HANGS during writing --- ALWAYS. When I re-booted, I
- noticed that around 1 meg worth of info had been written b4 it hanged.
- In fact, it doesn't lie with AWGS alone; any software I tried dumping
- over to the HFS partition hangs the Finder during copy and always after
- about 1 meg was written. Seems like a constant problem here.
