  12. To both people who are having trouble with System 6 (HFS in
  13. particular): have you tried re-installing the system software, using
  14. the five disk set?  Run the Installer, use Custom Installation, and
  15. reinstall all the appropriate options.

  17. One particular problem is installing AppleWorks GS _after_ installing
  18. System 6.  It seems that AppleWorks GS replaces some of the system
  19. files with ones from its own system disk, which is only System 5.0.2.
  20. Having a mixed set of files leads to very bad behaviour, to say the least.
