- You are right. I did. My mistake and thanks for catching it. :)
-
- The slot defaults are:
-
- 0-> Monitor (40 columns)
- 1-> Printer
- 2-> Modem
- 3-> Monitor (80 columns)
- 4-> CPM card/mouse/misc./any suggestions?
- 5-> Secondary disk drive slot/mouse
- 6-> Primary disk drive slot/Hard disk slot
- 7-> 800k disk drive slot/misc/mouse/suggestions?
-
- In addition, the //e and //gs have a separate slot for their 80 column
- cards. You will usually find, though, that a ram card/80 column card
- is in this slot. There were several manufacturers of these but only
- Applied Engineering comes to mind at present.
-
- My Apple //e is a good example. Every slot has something in it. Even
- slot #3 has something in it (TransWarp). I sometimes sit and sigh thinking
- that it would be nice if the Apple has sixteen, twenty-four, or even
- thirty-two slots to it. But then I'd just have them all filled and my
- electric bill would be out the wazoo! ;)
