- I've received a few pieces of mail on my 3.5" drive... Most said that there was
- a tension spring that needed adjusting. So, I found it, behind the heads near
- the back of the board and next to the stepper motor, and tightened it one
- notch. My drive promptly started to, believe it or not, gouge grooves in my
- disks. So I put the spring back where it was originally. It STILL gouges
- disks.
-
- I did some more poking around and I noticed that the bottom head and the
- little metal part around it is quite securely attached to the drive. On top,
- though. the head and its corresponding little metal part seem to be quite
- loose. Is it possible that the top part got dislodged, and is causing my
- trouble?
-
- Again, thanks to all that have helped me...
