  12. Hello all,
  13. I have a network of about 20 Apollos ranging from the
  14. dn300 to the dn4500 with a few dn3000s and dn3500s in between.
  15. I have all of the nodes heavily linked to our server node.
  16. What I want to do now is take one of the dn3500s and put in an
  17. ethernet board, remove the token ring board, and hook it
  18. up to the campus ethernet as a stand alone unit.

  20. The machine has 146 MB of disk space and 12MB of memory.  The
  21. question I have is: How should I get this baby ready for the ethernet
  22. and the world of standalone?  Should I wipe off the disk and
  23. boot from tape and install that way?  Should I try and reconfigure
  24. it while it is still on the token ring network?  Right now we are
  25. running 10.3.5 version of Domain/OS, should I load 10.4?  Should
  26. I load only BSD?
