- Keywords: lpr lpd remote printing
-
-
- I have established remote printing (bsd style) in /etc/printcap.
- No I wanted to test it and said:
-
- lpr file
-
- What I get is:
-
- lpr: The default printing user does not exist
-
- Any idea, what I have to do to enable this?
-
- Another problem still persists:
-
- I was able to do a rgy_create on my new installed 10.3 so I can use root and user.
-
- Then I was looking for a way to anable the old registry data again. The only thing I could do so far was a brute force way to replace the old
- saved /somewhere/SYS/sys/registry to /sys/registry with prior deleting of the
- newly created registry tree.
-
- What are the correct steps to perform to obtain a working registry.
- Now I always get the error mnessage at login that network registry could not be used, using local registry instead.
