- Next time you post, please include enough information that someone can
- help you without having to derive your configuration from the symptoms
- of the problem. Model numbers and OS revision levels at least.

- If you are trying to use an Apollo DN series machine then yes, it is
- impossible. Although there is a WD7000 disk controller board with
- external SCSI port, this board will only drive certain types of tape
- drives.

- If, on the other hand, by "Apollo" you mean an HP/Apollo 400 series
- machine, then you would need Domain/OS 10.4 and a boot prom rev. 2.1
- or greater. Of course, I would also question why this was not posted to
- comp.sys.hp instead of comp.sys.apollo.

- I think you're missing something here. The Apollo was never designed to
- be an "open system". That fact is not likely to change just because they
- were bought by HP.
