- As a matter of fact, yes. Aztec users can get SAS/C for $197.50,
- which is 50% off the retail price. That is significantly below
- even the street price (which I believe is about $260 these days.)
-
- That price includes everything: compiler, linker, debugger, editor,
- libraries, headers, message browser, options utility, setup utility,
- make utility, grep/diff/splat/etc utilities, object module
- disassembler, object module librarian, Global Symbol Table browser,
- online AmigaGuide documentation, 1200 pages of printed documentation,
- printed quick reference guide, coverage analysis utility, etc.
-
- Notable compiler features include Global Symbol Tables, prototype
- generation, reassemblable disassembly of generated code, stack
- checking, stack extension, ability to merge identical strings,
- built-in functions, registerized parameters, excellent error and
- warning messages, ability to build shared libraries easily,
- global optimizer, peephole optimizer, inline functions (both
- automatic and specially-marked ones), and more.
-
- For more info on any of these features, I'm sure SAS/C customers
- on the net can explain them. I will be at Devcon for the next
- week, so I probably won't be able to respond in a timely manner
- myself.
