- Way back when I bought my Lattice C compiler it came packaged with
- the Amiga checkmark on the folder and proclaimed itself "The Official
- Amiga C compiler" or words to that effect. The manual was designed to
- look like the RKM's of that time.

- It certainly left a lasting impression that Lattice had an inside track
- and that any other compiler venders were also-rans by definition.
- I don't know how much truth there was in it, but that impression
- persists to this day in the minds of many users. I wouldn't begin
- to guess how much marketing it would take to dispell that image.
