  23. Way back when I bought my Lattice C compiler it came packaged with
  24. the Amiga checkmark on the folder and proclaimed itself "The Official
  25. Amiga C compiler" or words to that effect.  The manual was designed to
  26. look like the RKM's of that time.

  28. It certainly left a lasting impression that Lattice had an inside track
  29. and that any other compiler venders were also-rans by definition.
  30. I don't know how much truth there was in it, but that impression
  31. persists to this day in the minds of many users.  I wouldn't begin
  32. to guess how much marketing it would take to dispell that image.
