  23.  I've talked to a number of dealers in my area who are happy with A1200 sales.
  24. In fact, their only complaint is that Commodore isn't supplying them with 
  25. enough units. They have more orders then they have stock and users want their
  26. A1200s now! Not in two weeks!

  28.  As for Commodore having a terrible last quarter! Nothing to worry or panic 
  29. about. The way the market has been going, they are happy to still be in 
  30. business. IBM lost over 4 billion dollars last quarter! And there are 1000s 
  31. more companies who are in the same position. Their sales should strengthen with
  32. these new machines. Now if they can just get that advertisement down pack!

  34.  Commodore has never been very successful at advertising. They try and try
  35. but never manage to find the right promotion. The best promoting they ever had
  36. was in the C64 days when they used to play the C64 commercials with the beatle
  37. song. Everyone remembers those. 
  38.  
  39.  Commodore needs to do two things this year.
  40.  
  41.  1. Advertise more. They have to make more people aware of the Amiga. They 
  42.     have to attact new users to the Amiga.
  43.  
  44.  2. They have to strengthen their distribution base. They have to concentrate
  45.     on getting the Amiga into large franchies/chains to ensure that the Amiga
  46.     is available throughout the country. The also have to encourage these
  47.     companies to carry software with the computers.
