  24. I bet c.s.a.audio would only end up with four articles per week under that
  25. scheme.  Most of the talk in c.s.a.audio seems to be about MODs and other
  26. such song formats, but that still doesn't justify splitting the group.
  27. Besides, what about people who have MIDI interfaces and use sequencers and other
  28. tools to create music?  Should they post to c.s.a.music and end up having to
  29. search for messages among hundreds of messages saying "Where can I find the
  30. latest MODs?"

  32. By the way, it would be a very bad idea to send out a control message to
  33. newgroup comp.sys.amiga.music.  The usual procedure to create newsgroups is to
  34. create an official proposal posted to news.announce.newsgroups, discuss it for
  35. a period of time, and then bring it up for a vote.  If the vote passes (which
  36. means that it receives a 2/3rds majority and 100 more 'yes' votes than 'no'
  37. votes), then it gets created.  If you send out the newgroup message yourself,
  38. you'll probably get a lot of angry mail from system administrators.
