- I have an old A3000 (softkicked one) and I have weird boot problems.
- When I power up my machine, it won't load the kickstart, because
- it claims that wb_2.x: partition is "not a dos disk". Ok, I have
- backupped my wb_2.x: partition to another partition, so that's no
- problem. Then I insert some empty disk with boot block and use
- 'setcpu kickrom kickstart' command to load newer kickstart version. Well,
- after that my boot partition is working very well. This isn't
- actually very surprising, but when I type 'setcpu romboot', the
- machine loads the kickstart very well from my weird boot partition.
- How is that possible?? It can't be hard disk spin-up problem, because
- I can access the other partitions.
