  19. First of all, if there's no message on the screen like 'Loading Kickstart' when
  20. you boot the machine, it probably boots off the ROM.
  21.  
  22. Then check if you have a file called 'kickstart' in your devs-directory, and check wether
  23. you have less memory that you should have after booting. You could also use the program
  24. 'Sysinfo', which reports wether you have kickstart in ROM or in RAM.

  26. If all else fails, come visit me in room 260 (I'm also a student at TIH...:-D).
