  12. Yesterday I had to reformat one of my Wedge System drives.  I carried
  13. out the low-level format and then ran the Amiga format command.
  14. All things seemed to be going well until it reached the phase
  15. when it displays ``Initializing Disk''.  At his point I get
  16. a requester stating that the unit is not a DOS disk.  If I issue
  17. the info command, the drive is shown as ``validating'', but there
  18. is no disk activity, and, in fact, its been validating for 24
  19. hours or more now, so I assume that it is not really validating.
  20. I am at a loss as to what to doin order to restore this drive
  21. to its former useful state.
