- I bought an SVGA monitor (made by TVM) about six months ago, and it worked
- flawlessly in PAL (and NTSC of course), despite the manual saying it could
- only handle 60Hz. It died the other night, and I got a replacement the next
- day (one model higher, since the old one was no longer in stock!), which
- also works fine in PAL, and the manual says it can go from 50Hz->80Hz.
-
- I don't know which other monitors this is true for, but I'd imagine there
- is a reasonable amount of tolerance. Perhaps 50Hz for my original monitor
- worked, but was bad for it, and that's why it died. ;-) ;-)
