- The drives in the 1000 do eventually die - I had to have mine replaced
- several years ago - I don't know where you might be able to pick one
- up - nor exactly what kind you need - but mine was around 80 - 90
- bucks - you might just be better off buying a 1000 (from someone) my
- neighbor bought an extra one for 100 bucks - in the want ads...
