- Be VERY careful about termination with your SyQuest. When I have
- improper termination, I begin to get read errors on my OTHER devices and
- lose massive amounts of data. The easiest way to get the cable you want is
- to buy a Macintosh "SCSI System Cable" which has a 50-pin Centronics on one
- end and a 25-pin on the other. I have all of my devices (six, all total)
- run with Mac cabling and it's a helluva lot easier to deal with. Remember
- to leave termination on your internal drive and your SyQuest. It'll only
- make a difference if you have all three devices connected simultaneously.
- The terminators on the SyQuest are in the same place as they are in most
- hard drives. The resistor packs are the same as Quantum and other
- manufacturer's packs.
