  26.    I had this error a while back on an A5000. Seems it's one of those "known
  27. bugs" in the system. The solution is easy - simply copy all your stuff off the
  28. drive onto a handy Econet*, re-format the drive and copy the stuff back.

  30.   Checkmap does offer to sort out the problem...so long as it can figure out
  31. what the problem actually is. In this case it gets confused and gives up.
  32.   No, this isn't documented anywhere (the problem, or the fact that checkmap
  33. will not always offer to help).

  35.   BTW: You'll probably find that files have started occupying more space than
  36. they should as well. Your hard drive will fill up rather quickly from now on
  37. if the behaviour of the one I had is anything to go by. The effect seems to
  38. be logarithmic too - the longer you leave it, the worse it gets.
