- Couldn't this stuff be done using impulse?

- ChangeFSI and Translator would have methods like gif->sprite and ones
- to set their options. When Paint failed torecognise a file type (say
- a gif) it would send out requests for any gif translators, then send
- the options to the chosen task followed by all the (gif) data.
- Translator would then chug away, and send a new sprite command to
- paint followed by the (sprite) data.

- Of course if two gif->sprite methods existed, a choice would have to
- be made my the user, and the options would have to be set somewhere
- along the line. And something really clever would have to be done
- about applications that could do the translation but werent loaded at
- the time.
