- You are talking about the Ace Pro-driver. Yes, the Pro-drivers also
- spools print data. Yes it works fine with my regular DJ500. This
- software provides levels of colour seperation which can drive a DJ500C
- directly - using two passes, one for the CMY cartridge <re insert paper,
- change to K (black) cartridge>, do 2nd pass. Note that the 500C only
- holds one cartridge. The 550C holds 2 cartridges - the CMY and the K.
- Thus with suitable software, 1 pass printing of CMYK is possible. Ace
- now do a modified Pro-driver for the 550C. They offer this as an upgrade
- to existing Pro-driver owners (i.e. me!). Since I own a mono DJ500 is
- all I can say is that the Pro-drivers' colour seperation is great -
- allowing me to do 4 pass colour printing with seperate C, M, Y and K
- cartridges. Laborious, but fun - but you should buy a 550C if you are
- planning 'serious' colour printing!
