- Hi there! It has long been my desire to write an intelligent voice-
- recognition system for a PC, not one of these that simply samples whole
- words and compares them with their preset patterns, but one that actually
- parses the words into syllables and fits them to a definable language
- grammar, like a computer language works.
- I would like it to be able to do voice ID as well as respond to words
- by anyone. As far as I know, this product does not currently exist for a PC,
- but someone someday will write it, so it might as well be me! :)
- Anyway, I would like info on books or other references which could tell
- me about taking an audio sample and making a frequency spectrum analyzer in
- the 1-3kHz range, as this would be my first step.
- In addition, I would like to know about any other books or info on
- voice/speech recognition in general, as well as what programs currently exist
- for the PC. Thanks for any help!!
- - Matt
