- Are there any emulations of the EDT or EVE editors (those VMS beasts)
- that will run under SunOS?
- I am aware of some EMACS-stuff to make EMACS act like EDT,
- but I was hoping for an actual standalone program.
-
- I have had several people tell me that JED's emulation of EDT is much better
- than the one provided by Emacs. What's more, if you want something small and
- fast, I'd suggest trying JED out. It is available via anonymous ftp from
- amy.tch.harvard.edu in the pub/jed subdir. There is even a Sun binary there
- (from a Sun Sparc or sun 4). In any case, make sure you get jed080.tar.Z
- since the EDT emulation is via the editor extension language.
