  13. I was hoping that someone will be able to help me here.

  15. What I am doing is reading in an 8-bit image and would like to
  16. pick some points on it.  I can plot the points on the image
  17. but every point that is plotted Matlab clears the figure and 
  18. redraws the whole thing.  This is WAY too slow.
  19.  
  20. What I am hoping is that there is some way in Matlab to turn
  21. off the redraw/refresh??
  22.  
  23. A secondary question.  Does anyone have any .m file that will 
  24. allow me to plot a point on the screen move to the opposite corner
  25. of the rectangle the whole while a "rubber" rectangle is being
  26. drawn on the screen to show me the area that I am outlining??
