- I am looking for information/ suggestions/ recommendations on
- GUI design tools to aid in the development of user interfaces for
- real-time embedded systems. Our project is trying to use
- "off the shelf" hardware for CPU and graphics boards (VMEbus or
- STD bus) and a real-time OS (possibly a graphics board with
- resident Xserver). We need to concurrently update data displayed in
- 2 or 3 windows while the user is inputting data in another window.
- Our development hosts are SPARCstations running Solaris 1.1.
-
- We are looking at some real-time GUI tools such as DataViews
- (V.I. Corp.) and Sammi (Kinesix). Any information regarding
- these tools or others would be helpful. Are there other GUI
- design tools not based on X which might be suitable for our
- application?
