- I am having a problem getting my RPC service started using inetd. I am working
- on a SparcStation 2 and using Sun's rpcgen to generate my client and server
- 'stubs'. The RPC client and server work fine if I start the server up myself
- but when I try to start it using inetd, the client just returns without a
- message. I have,
- 1. Used rpcgen with the -I option. (to enable inetd support)
- 2. Made an entry in the /etc/inetd.conf file for the service.
- 3. Made an entry in the /etc/rpc file for the service.
- Also, running rpcinfo shows the service listed as being a service known to
- the portmapper.
-
- What am I doing wrong?
