  12. Reading RFC 1331, it repeatedly discusses Async HDLC.  I have read the
  13. FAQ and async HDLC doesn't seem to be a featured answer.  Would someone
  14. take pity on an upper layers guy suddenly taking new employment and
  15. tell me in simple english what Asychronous HDLC is?  I have this guess
  16. that its HDLC encapsulation over ethernet, but that's just a guess.
