  20. For those who may not know, Cthon is the annual ONC/NFS and X Windows
  21. interoperability test event, where implementors of these protocols can
  22. see how their implementations work with others.

  27. GREAT MINDS LINK ALIKE

  29. SunSoft, Inc. today announced that the eighth annual Connectathon(TM)
  30. event will be held July 22-30, 1993 at the San Jose Convention and
  31. Cultural facilities in San Jose, California. This event enables
  32. hardware and software developers to test portability and
  33. interoperability of their technologies.
  34.  
  35. Over the years, Connectathon's popularity has grown and the event has
  36. become *the* network proving ground where engineers come to test their
  37. ONC/ONC+ and X-windows technologies. This year the event has been moved
  38. to July and expanded to include exciting new technologies which will be
  39. available for testing and debugging.

  41. The event is an excellent opportunity for developers to verify that
  42. their software interoperates on a variety of servers, window managers
  43. and operating systems. Everything from laptops to supercomputers can be
  44. linked together under one roof, encouraging interaction among vendors,
  45. engineers and developers in a confidential atmosphere.
