  14. I am trying to recompile CAP on our new SGI's running Irix 4.0.5F.  Currently
  15. we are running from our older Sun and had no problems configuring under BSD.
  16. Alas, Irix is SYSV and I am running into problems.  We are only using the CAP
  17. system to allow printing to a LaserWriter via a Kinetics FP4 to localtalk.

  19. On the SGI, I was able to make the entire system (using the -cckr flag to
  20. avoid warnings). I am using CAP 6.0 pl 126.

  22. Now the problems.  If I run 'atis -D 3' as root, the from another shell
  23. execute 'atistest' I get the following

  40. I believe the problem lies in the ECHO error, but I am not sure what it is 
  41. trying to do (thus my plea to the net gods :-)

  43. Anyone have any Ideas?

  45. On an second point, has anyone any suggestions or hints on configuring pap*
  46. for use with the Irix 'lp'.  I have not looked into this myself yet as we have
  47. had everything running via BSD lpr.  (but perhaps to go through the Transcript
  48. package and lp ... I hope :-}
