  14. Maybe it's a FAQ ... I apologize. But I don't subscribe
  15. to this newsgroup regularly, so I don't know.

  17. I urgently need some pointers (or even better
  18. information) about port layout on graphic cards of
  19. workstations and X-terminals. The aim is to issue a
  20. technical market view of such stuff. Some manufacturers
  21. have answered my questions freely, such as Sun, IBM,
  22. Tektronix and others. HP, DEC and SGI did not, and I
  23. would rather avoid printing an article without their
  24. data (which I would have to do blaming those who didn't
  25. answer).

  27. Following data is required:

  29. - type of connector and pin layout at the graphic card
  30.   side of the cable
  31. - wave impedance of cabling and signal sources (mostly
  32.   75 Ohms).
  33. - peak signal voltage
  34. - polarity of sync pulses horizontally and vertically
  35. - available resolutions and picture refresh rates
  36.  
  37. I'd well appreciate every piece of the mosaic since I
  38. have really gotten hot at the moment some of the
  39. manufacturers haven't answered :-)
