- The Damaged Drive catalog strikes again!
-
- The other day, I tried to load a font through Suitcase, and in the
- folder menu for my fonts folder on my external drive, Suitcase
- claimed that all the fonts after Corona on my drive had been renamed
- Corona. It claimed that I had everything up to C, and then everything
- after that was just copies of Corona. Well, I KNEW that wasn't the
- case, so I quit and looked in the font folder. Well, the fonts ended at
- C, even though I knew that all the fonts up to Z must STILL be in there.
- So I tried to run MacTools, and lo and behold, the catalog file "contains
- an invalid backward link from one node to another." Well, that's fine
- and good, but MacTools can't repair it! I tried rebuilding the desktop and
- doing it again - no luck. When I run Disinfectant on it, it claims that
- many of the font files and a good number of others have damaged resource
- forks, though this was not the case two days ago.
-
- Does anyone have ANY help they could give me? It isn't going away this
- time, and I need my fonts and that drive to be functional. I will owe you
- a very big one.
-
- ADVthanksANCE,
-
