  10. The Damaged Drive catalog strikes again!

  12. The other day, I tried to load a font through Suitcase, and in the
  13. folder menu for my fonts folder on my external drive, Suitcase
  14. claimed that all the fonts after Corona on my drive had been renamed 
  15. Corona. It claimed that I had everything up to C, and then everything 
  16. after that was just copies of Corona. Well, I KNEW that wasn't the
  17. case, so I quit and looked in the font folder. Well, the fonts ended at
  18. C, even though I knew that all the fonts up to Z must STILL be in there.
  19. So I tried to run MacTools, and lo and behold, the catalog file "contains
  20. an invalid backward link from one node to another." Well, that's fine
  21. and good, but MacTools can't repair it! I tried rebuilding the desktop and
  22. doing it again - no luck. When I run Disinfectant on it, it claims that 
  23. many of the font files and a good number of others have damaged resource
  24. forks, though this was not the case two days ago.

  26. Does anyone have ANY help they could give me? It isn't going away this
  27. time, and I need my fonts and that drive to be functional. I will owe you 
  28. a very big one.
