  16. I have difficulties in retrieving the claims of a certain patent. The
  17. only information I have are two numbers and a flyer of the product. I
  18. tried to contact the manufacturer but at that side it's a complete
  19. silence... so I'm starting to think their patent has no "real" value and
  20. is mentioned for impressing other people only. Below I will copy all the
  21. facts I have about this patent, if someone can retrieve the original
  22. text, or can tell me how to get to it, it would really help me forward.

  37. The protected product is a method to sterilize water by bringing Cu-iosn
  38. into it by use of an electrolyse with copper electrodes...

  40. [mod- The first thing to do is to find the country to which this
  41. patent applies. By  the looks of the numbers its not the US but maybe
  42. in the UK (judging by the address of the company).  A check to see if
  43. the Patents Office in your country has the UK patents could probably
  44. be made by phone. 
  45. In order for a patent to stop you  from doing something in your own
  46. country, it has to be a patent issued by your country. Hence a check
  47. of belgium patent office might be another thing for you to do.
  48. The best way to check would be to get your local patent attorney to do
  49. a search on the company name with the dialog database service.
