  13. Postdoctoral Research Associate:

  15. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at 
  16. Emory University invites applications for a Postdoctoral 
  17. Research Associate (subject to final approval) in the 
  18. area of parallel and distributed computing. Emory 
  19. University is engaged in several sponsored research 
  20. projects in high-performance concurrent computing, 
  21. including new generation systems and toolkits for 
  22. heterogeneous concurrent supercomputing. The Research 
  23. Associate will join the principal investigators of
  24. these projects and participate in research activities in
  25. these areas, with an emphasis on distributed algorithms, 
  26. toolkits, programming models and paradigms, and systems 
  27. issues.

  29. Educational requirements include a PhD in Computer Science 
  30. or closely related discipline, preferably with specialization 
  31. in parallel and distributed high-performance computing. In 
  32. addition, applicants should be well-versed in issues pertaining 
  33. to experimental concurrent computing, via coursework, thesis 
  34. projects, or prior experience.
