- Folks,
- If anybody's interested, I just ported and older version of the Jef
- Poskanzer Portable BitMap toolkit to OSK. It's uploaded to cabrales, in
- the incoming directory. If somebody's interested in porting the newer
- PbmPlus, that would be great. I don't have the hard drive space at the
- moment to do it, but it looks like it wouldn't be that much more
- difficult, just a matter of playing with the makefile.
-
- For those of you unfamiliar with PBM, it is a sort of go-between bitmap
- format that allows you to convert graphic files from one format to
- another fairly easily, as well as perform simple image processing (like
- scaling, cropping, hor/vert flipping, etc) on graphic images, using only
- command-line utilities. The original PBM toolkit only works on B/W
- images, but the newer PbmPlus does just about every graphic format
- you're likely to come in contact with, including 24-bit TIFF images.
- Maybe somebody else will be inspired to try porting pbmplus. :-)
