  11. After downloading the files for the OS2 2.1 beta, how does one install
  12. them without floppies?  Or, if floppies are required, can I dispense
  13. with them after loading the files on the hard disk?  I tried to change
  14. the mouse and it started asking for the floppies again.  Is there some
  15. way to tell it to get its files from the hard disk and/or to just use
  16. the files it already has?

  18. Do I need the documentation from OS2 2.0 before I can get started with
  19. 2.1?  This is the first time I've used OS2 so I'm not 100% sure I know
  20. what I'm doing.  For example, when I tried clicking on the dual boot
  21. icon, it flashed a black window at me with a one line message at the
  22. top of it, for a fraction of a second.  Each time I click on the dual
  23. boot, it does the same thing, so I can read the message by clicking
  24. repeatedly and reading one word each time it flashes that window.  But
  25. unfortunately, I can't read the whole message that way, because it
  26. extends beyond the edge of the window, and the window doesn't stay up
  27. long enough to enlarge it.
