  11. I have an application which will need to send identical messages to a
  12. potentially large number of clients (hundreds) on a LAN, and I'm
  13. interested in saving bandwidth.  I know the underlying carrier
  14. supports broadcast and multicast transmissions, but is there any
  15. network API for addressing a message to multiple destinations?
