  10. Mike Long posted an article about IBM's new database, DB2/2.
  11. I'm not officially connected with this announcement, but I did
  12. watch the Field Television Network broadcast Mike mentioned, and
  13. I want to correct one error before folks raise their expectations
  14. too high.

  19. There was no claim made as to a 10X speed increase -- the claim was
  20. a 10X QUALITY increase to the code.  Yes, there should be a real
  21. speed increase due to the tuning and conversion to 32-bit (especially
  22. with DDCS/2, the host gateway product), but as far as I know IBM
  23. hasn't placed any number on that speediness.
