- I have gotten the base product up and
- basically working, using the code from the latest PDK CD ROM. I tried
- applying the CSD for the base product (latest from hobbes), but get a
- message saying that I must be using a 'refreshed' version of TCP/IP to apply
- the fix. I'm guessing that I can't apply CSD's to a beta version?
- (an older CSD TCP2274.ZIP also mentions that it should only be applied to the
- 'refreshed' product)
-
- I'm also wondering then if I'm wasting my time with the beta version since
- there have been so many fixes and since I am experiencing irregular operation
- of telnet etc. It would really help if anyone can confirm that the version
- from the PDK works AT ALL because I'm trying to convince my boss to go to
- OS/2. One compelling reason would be so that we can run both the Novell
- requester and do telnet simultaneously. This is in a hospital with 200+
- workstations on a Netware 3.11 LAN. So, after ordering (and waiting) for
- the PDK CD ROM so we can try out TCP/IP, and spending a good amount of time
- getting both the requester and tcp/ip stuff to even load correctly,
- experiencing flakey behavior with TCP/IP AND (apparently) not being able
- to apply fixes, I'm wodering if I'm wasting my time (ie I have to tell my
- boss we now must order the 'real' product to actually see if it works).
-
- Any help/hints greatly appreciated. Obviously if we go with the product,
- we'd order 200+ copies or a site license etc.

- thanks
