- I'm not sure what the problem is, but I can tell you that a similar
- setup on our system works fine (for Quattro and WfW). Here are some
- details from our setup. We're running OS/2 2.0 + SP with TCP/IP
- including all the latest and greatest CSDs from hobbes.nmsu.edu.
-
- ON THE REMOTE MACHINE (without the printer attached):
- The target printer is "hp3ps" on machine "fidder".
- In \startup.cmd:
- start lprmon -b -php3ps -sfiddler lpt1
- Printer icon settings:
- printer driver: PSCRIPT.HP Laserjet III v52_2
- job properties: default
- output: LPT1
- queue options: driver = PMPRINT; print-while-spooling = on
- print options: default
- WinOS/2:
- ATM on (turned on and fonts installed from floppy disk)
- control panel, printers, Use print manager = off;
- appropriate printer drivers installed and active
- ON THE MACHINE WITH THE PRINTER ATTACHED:
- Pretty much the same setup, except that the printer icon
- has "printer specific format" turned on (is this needed?
- I don't really know...)
-
-
- Good luck!
