  12. I recently bought the 2.1b CD and the November PDK CD, with TCP/IP beta.
  13. I installed both, but have removed TCP/IP as it had a rather annoying
  14. habit of crashing my machine. This was unpredictable, but didn't seem
  15. to correlate with my doing anything unusual - it might occur after merely
  16. using telnet once.

  18. Sometimes I'd get some warning that things were wrong - no keyboard response,
  19. but the mouse would still work; all 3 indicator lights coming on for no
  20. reason, and pressing NUMLOCK causing the CAPSLOCK and SCROLL LOCK lights
  21. to go off, but not affecting the NUMLOCK light, etc. If I pressed CAD at that
  22. point, all was OK. However, if I didn't press this (and sometimes there was
  23. no warning) the machine locked solid. The mpouse cursor didn't move,
  24. pressing any keys had no effect at all, and the only solution was to switch
  25. off and back on.

  27. Has anyone else noticed this? It looks like a great package, worth buying,
  28. but ONLY if it doesn't kill the OS. For now, I'm back to single session
  29. DOS programs in a window...
