- One funny (?) remark. Within IBM there are tons of 8514-cards, so IBMers
- were asking for seemless 8514 drivers internally. Only, after it became
- clear that there are tons of 8514-compatible-cards outside IBM did they
- realize that it was necessary to write a seemless driver.

- Explanation: The 8514 was the forerunner of the XGA, simply put 8514 was
- an intermediate step. The XGA being out on the market for quite a while
- and seeing others going mainly the Tseng-route, they thought 8514 was not
- that important.
