- One solution is to change the TCPSTART.CMD file so that those daemons that
- can run detached are started with DETACH rather than START. For instance,
- PORTMAPPER and SENDMAIL run just fine detached, and detached apps don't show
- up in the task list. If they aren't in the task list, OS/2 doesn't ask you if
- you want to shut them down when you do a shutdown. It can make the whole
- thing alot cleaner during boot, too, since you don't have to watch them open
- and then minimize the windows manually.

- Note: some of the daemons don't work right when detached... TELNETD and
- FTPD come to mind.
