  12. I recently installed the new IBM1S506.ADD 12-19-92.  I was happy that I could
  13. now see the remainder of my 630Mb ESDI Drive (>1024 cyl) but I now seem to
  14. be having some problems that I have never experienced.

  16. 1) I am now experiencing TOTAL (I mean total) lock-up of OS/2 periodically
  17.    and they seem to be disk related. (Once after a cold boot I decided to 
  18.    reformat a DOS partition and before it started OS/2 locked up)
  19.  
  20. 2) During a TE/2 download I decided to go to DOS and run a game to pass the
  21.    time.  I had just installed a PAS-16 Board that a friend loaned me and
  22.    was curious to see if it worked.  Well OS/2 locked up tight and when I
  23.    brought it back up I was horrified to see CHKDSK start erasing corrupted
  24.    files on the same HPFS partition as the TE/2 download directory. All the
  25.    files it erased were not open at the time of the crash.

  27. If anyone could give me any help I would apreciate it.  I have already 
  28. expanded into the extra space and would find it hard to go back to the old
  29. driver.

  31. My system is a DTK 386/33 w/ 8MB. Fujitsu 630Mb ESDI HD and WD1007SE2 
  32. controller. PVGA using the 800x600 Generic drivers and I am running GA+SP.
